Rooted in Legacy
Ida & Rain comes from my roots.
I wanted this brand to represent me, my heritage. I wanted it to have such great meaning that there was no way I could set it on the back of the shelf for the umpteenth without followthrough.
Ida is my family's matriacrch. Though she now walks in eternity, her influence will forever rein. She taught me how to seek the Lord, how to heal the body and she continues to guide me on every path through wafts of magnolia and rainbows in the midst of rainy skies.
Lorraine is the center of my world- my Nana. She instilled in me as a woman to remain soft, to walk chin up chest out, to bless others endlessly and never forget who I am. Her laugh gives me joy. Her melodic tunes keep me present and bring me peace.
I have always been a hippie at heart. Whether it be red onions for congestion or Shea Bud'uh for pain -- Im always going to seek the ancestral way to heal any sol that may cross my path.
My hands are melanated magic and I stand tall in that.
Shea Bud'uh isn't just a whipped salve in a jar. It is healing. I hand pick, research and whip each ingredient. The collection is a staple in my home.
Ida & Rain is more than a brand. In many ways it is and will become MY legacy and in the same breath I am so immensly blessed to ALWAYS be theirs.
It is heritage, refined.
It is comfort, elevated.
It is care, made intentional.
